The square-sectioned version of the plain carafe: 10.9 inches tall, 3.5 across the flats, lidded, sold in 2s and 4s. Half an inch taller than its round sibling and a tenth of an inch narrower, which sounds like nothing and is the entire reason it exists — a flat side sits against the back of a door shelf and wastes none of the width it occupies. It carries the same 4.7 average as the round one, on a much smaller sample of 763 ratings.

Why square rather than round?
A flat side sits flush against the back of a door shelf and uses all the width it takes up. A round body needs more depth to hold the same liquid.
Is it taller than the round carafes?
By half an inch: 10.9 against 10.4. On a fridge door that difference is occasionally the whole decision, so check the clearance rather than assuming it.
Is there a 6-pack?
