Is this a canning jar?
The body is the same wide-mouth jar, but the lids supplied are drinking and storage lids. There is no flat and band for heat processing, so it is not sold for preserving and should not be used for it.
How are the eight lids split?
Four bamboo, two with a straw hole, two airtight with a silicone seal. Any two jars can be sealed shut while the other two are set up as drinks.
Why steel straws rather than glass?
Steel survives a drop onto a tiled floor and glass does not. What steel adds is a faint metal note in a cold drink, which is why the rest of this range uses borosilicate glass instead.
